I will not be in town on Wednesday January 21, our official first day of class. Our first day of class will be Monday January 26, 2009, in our regular classroom Rm 158 LLP at 9:00 am. We will make up the missed lecture on Friday January 30 from 9:00 am to 10:20 am in Rm 144 Loomis (which is not our usual lecture room).

I had a minor injury in my foot and I will not be giving today's lecture (Monday April 27, 2009). We will meet again on our regular lecture this Wednesday April 29 at 9:00 am. We will make up today's lecture this Friday May 1 at 9:00 am in Rm 144 Loomis Lab (the room next door).

The extra lecture on vortices and monopoles will be on Friday May 8, 2009, at 9:00 am in Rm 280 Materials Research Laboratory. This lecture room is located on the 2nd fllor of MRL, half way between Loomis and ESB.

The presentations of the Final Term Papers will be on Friday May 15, 2009, 9:00 am - 12:00 noon in Rm 280 Materials Research Laboratory.
