Dr. Franco Nori, PhD University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, July 1987. Dr. Nori was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Institute for Theoretical Physics of the University of California at Santa Barbara. Dr. Nori is a Professor of Physics at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor MI (USA), and a Laboratory Head at the Advanced Science Institute of the RIKEN Laboratories, Japan.

Dr.Avinash Singh, PhD University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, January 1988. Dr. Singh was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, MD). Dr.Singh is currently a member of the Faculty of the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur (India).

Dr. David Withoff, PhD University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, July 1988. Dr. Withoff is presently a member of the staff of Wolfram Research, Champaign IL (USA).

Dr.Cecilia von Reichenbach; PhD Universidad de La Plata (La Plata, Argentina) July 1988. Dr. von Reichenbach is currently a Professor of Physics at Universidad de La Plata (Argentina).

Dr. Joel Cannon; PhD University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, July 1989. Dr. Cannon is currently a Professor of Physics at Washington & Jefferson College, Washington PA (USA).

Dr. Christopher Mudry, PhD University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, July 1994. Dr. Mudry was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at MIT and Harvard University, Cambridge MA (USA). He is now the Head of the Condensed Matter Theory Group of the Paul Scherrer Institute (Villigen, Switzerland).

Dr. Ana María Lopez, PhD University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, July 1994. Formerly a Wolfson Research Fellow at the Department of Physics at Oxford University, (Oxford, England), Dr. Lopez was a senior researcher of the Instituto de Física Balseiro in San Carlos de Bariloche (Río Negro, Argentina). She is currently a Researcher Officer working on Climate Change at the London School of Economics (London, United Kingdom).

Dr.Antonio Castro Neto, PhD University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, July 1994. Dr. Castro Neto was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Institute for Theoretical Physics of the University of California at Santa Barbara, and Assistant and Associate Professor of Physics at the University of California, Riverside CA (USA). Dr. Castro Neto is currently a Professor of Physics at the Boston University, Boston MA (USA).

Dr. Manuel A. Fuentes, PhD University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, July 1995. Dr. Fuentes is currently on the staff of ITPower (London, United Kingdom).

Dr. Carlos Cassanello, PhD University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, September 1996. Dr. Cassanello was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Cologne, Germany, and at the Sloan Center for Theoretical Neurobiology at UC San Francisco, San Francisco CA (USA). He is currently at the Department of Psychology of the Australian National University (Canberra, Australia).

Dr. Nancy P. Sandler, PhD University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, August 1998. Dr. Sandler was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Laboratoire de Physique Théorique, of the École Normale Supérieure (Paris, France), and at the Department of Physics, Brandeis University (Waltham MA). She is currently an Assistant Professor of Physics at the Department of Physics of Ohio University (Athens, OH).

Dr. Eun-Ah Kim, PhD University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, August 2005. Dr. Kim was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Depertment of Physics of Stanford University (Stanford, CA). Dr. Kim is now an Assistant Professor of Physics at the Department of Physics of Cornell University (Ithaca, New York).

Dr. Michael J. Lawler, PhD University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, July 2006. Dr. Lawler was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Depertment of Physics of the University of Toronto (Toronto, Ontario, Canada). Dr. Lawler is now an Assistant Professor of Physics at the Department of Physics of Binghamoton University (Binghamton, New York) and an Adjunct Professor of Physics at the Department of Physics of Cornell University (Ithaca, New York).

Dr. Stefanos Papanikolaou, PhD University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, June 2008. Dr. Papapnikolaou is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Physics of Cornell University (Ithaca, New York).

Dr. Kai Sun, PhD University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, May 2009. Dr. Sun is a Postdoctoral Fellow of the Joint Quantum Institute of the University of Maryland and of the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) in College Park, Maryland.

Dr. Benjamín M. Fregoso, PhD University of Illinosi at Urbana Champaign, May 2010. Dr. Fregoso is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Physics of the University of Chicago, Chicago IL.

Dr. Leticia Cugliandolo, MSc Universidad de La Plata (La Plata, Argentina) July 1989. Dr.Cugliandolo earned her PhD in 1992 from Universidad de La Plata. She was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Rome (Rome, Italy). Dr. Cugliandolo is currently a Professor of Physics at the Universite Pierre et Marie Curie - Paris VI (France), a memeber of the Institut Universitaire de France and the Director of the School of Physics in Les Houches (France).

Dr. Kai-Yan Michael Ma, PhD University of Illinois 1982. Dr. Ma was a student of the late Professor William McMillan and did part of his PhD Thesis under my supervision. Dr. Ma was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at MIT and he is now a Professor of Physics at the Department of Physics of the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati OH.

Dr. Matthew P. A. Fisher, PhD University of Illinois 1985. Dr. Fisher was a student of Professor A. J. Leggett and part of his research in Urbana under my supervision. Dr. Fisher was a member of the permanent staff of the IBM Thomas J. Watson Laboratory. Dr. Fisher is now a Professor of Physics of the Physics of the University of California at Santa Barbara and a member of the Faculty at the Institute for Theoretical Physics of the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Dr. Congjun Wu was graduate student in my group for two years (2000-2002). He has a PhD in Physics from Stanford University (2005), and was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Kavli Insititute for Theoretical Physics of the University of California Santa Barbara (2005-2007). Dr. Wu is currently an Assiatnt Professor of Physics at the Department of Physics of the University of California San Diego (2007).

Dr.Wu-Pei Su (1983-1985). PhD University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia PA (1983). Dr. Su is now Professor of Physics at the University of Houston, Houston TX (USA).

Dr.Elbio Dagotto (1985-1988). PhD Instituto de Física Balseiro, San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina (1984). Dr. Dagotto was Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Institute for Theoretical Physics of the University of California at Santa Barbara. Dr. Dagotto was a Professor of Physics at Florida State University at Tallahasee, Tallahasee FL (USA). He is now a Distinguisged Professor of Physics at the Department of Physics of the University of Tennessee (Knoxville, Tennessee) and a Distinguished Scientist of the Condensed Matter Science Division of Oak Ridge National Laboratory (Oak Ridge, Tennessee).

Dr. Qian Niu (1984-1985). PhD University of Washington, Seattle WA (1984). Dr. Niu was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Physics of the University of California at Santa Barbara. Dr.Niu is now Professor of Physics at the University of Texas at Austin, Austin TX (USA).

Dr. Adriana Moreo (1985-1988). PhD Instituto de Física Balseiro, San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina (1985). Dr. Moreo was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Physics of the University of California at Santa Barbara. Dr.Moreo was a Professor of Physics at Florida State University at Tallahasee, Tallahasee FL (USA). Dr. Moreo is now a Professor of Physics at the Department of Physics of the University of Tennessee (Knoxville, Tennessee) and has a joint appointment at the Condensed Matter Science Division of Oak Ridge National Laboratory (Oak Ridge, Tennessee).

Dr. Scott Renn (1987-1988). PhD University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia PA (1987). Dr. Renn was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Cornell University. Dr.Renn is now Assistant Professor of Physics at the University of California at San Diego, La Jolla CA (USA).

Dr. Shoudan Liang (1988-1990). PhD University of Chicago, Chicago IL (1985). Dr. Liang was an Assistant Professor of Physics at Penn State University. He is now a Professor at the Department of Biostatistics and Applied Mathematics of the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas.

Dr. Enrique Moreno (1988-1990). PhD Universidad de La Plata, La Plata, Argentina (1987). Dr. Moreno was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Universidad de Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain) and at the City College of New York, New York City, NY (USA). He is now a member of the permanent staff of CONICET (Argentina), at the Departamento de Física de la Universidad de La Plata, La Plata, Argentina.

Dr. Vadim Kalmeyer (1989-1990). PhD Stanford University, Stanford CA (1989). Dr.Kalmeyer is now at IBM Almaden, San Jose CA (USA).

Dr. Lev Ioffe (1989-1990). PhD Physico-Technical Institute of Moscow (Moscow, USSR) and Landau Institute of Theoretical Physics (Chernogolovka, USSR) (1987). Dr.Ioffe is now Professor of Physics at Rutgers University, New Brunswick NJ (USA).

Dr. Eduardo R. Gagliano (1989-1992). PhD Instituto de Física Balseiro, San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina (1985). Dr. Gagliano was a member of the staff of CONICET (Argentina) at Instituto de Física Balseiro, San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina. Dr. Gagliano tragically passed away in February 1998.

Dr. Silvia Bacci (1989-1992). PhD Instituto de Física Balseiro, San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina (1989). Dr.Bacci is now a member of the staff of CONICET (Argentina) at at Instituto de Física Balseiro, Bariloche, Argentina.

Dr. Shivaji Sondhi (1992-1995). PhD University of California Los Angeles, Los Angeles CA (1992). Dr.Sondhi is now Associate Professor of Physics at Princeton University, Princeton NJ (USA).

Dr. Claudio C. Chamon (1995-1997). PhD Massachussets Institute of Technology, Cambridge MA (1995). Dr. Chamon is now Professor of Physics at Boston University, Boston MA (USA).

Dr. Wengsheng Vincent Liu (1999-2001). PhD University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Liu was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge MA. He is currently an Associate Professor of Physics at the Department of Physics of Pittsburgh University (Pittsburgh PA).

Dr. Jose María Román Faúndez (1998-2002), PhD Universitat de Barcelona, Spain. He was a member of the staff of the Consejo Superior de Investicagion Cientifica, Madrid, Spain. Currently he is the Director of the Service for Photovoltaic Systems, National Center for Renewable Energies (CENER), Navarra, Spain

Dr. Daniel G. Barci (1999-2001), PhD Universidad de La Plata, Argentina (1995). He is now a Professor of Physics at the Departamento de Fisica, Universidade do Estado de Rio de Janeiro, RJ Brazil.

Dr. Eddy Ardonne, PhD University of University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He is was a postdoc in our group until July 30, 2005. From August 2005 through December 2007 he was a postdoc at the Center for the Physics of Information at Caltech (Pasadena, CA), and at Microsoft Station Q, at the California Nanosystems Institute of the University of California Santa Barbara (Santa Barbara, CA). Dr. Ardonne is currently a member of the research staff of NORDITA (the joint Institute for Theoretical Physics of the Scandinavian Countries) now located in Stockholm, Sweden.

Dr. Victoria Fernández, PhD Universidad de La Plata, Argentina. She was a a postdoc in our group until September 2005. She is currently a member of the staff of CONICET, Argentina, at the Department of Physics, Universidad de La Plata (La Plata, Argentina).

Dr. Kumar S. Raman, PhD Princeton University (Princeton NJ) (2005). He was a Postdoctoral research Associate in my group from August 2005 through August 2007. He is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Physics of the University of California Riverside.

Dr. Taylor L. Hughes, PhD Stanford University, June 2010. He is one of the current postdocs in the group
